The La Casita Verde Child Development Center is nestled within one of Los Angeles' most treasured cultural landmarks, La Casita Verde operates on a City-owned property. The center's unique setting provides children and families with a welcoming environment that blends the rich history of the community with high-quality early childhood education and care.
Operated by Mount Washington Preschool and Child Care Center (MWPCCC) since 2001, La Casita Verde reflects the organization's long-standing commitment to providing exceptional early learning opportunities for children and families throughout Los Angeles. MWPCCC is dedicated to fostering inclusive, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate learning environments that support children's cognitive, social-emotional, physical, and creative growth while promoting strong partnerships with families.
Through its historic location, strong educational foundation, and commitment to serving families of all backgrounds, La Casita Verde Child Development Center continues to be a valued community resource where children are encouraged to learn, grow, and thrive in a safe, supportive, and enriching environment.
Our historic Ziegler Estate is being restored in phases through City-funded repairs. We're working to bring our center home, and we'll share updates as we have them.
